1997 Tour of Siberia & The Russian Far East!

Siberia was far from the frigid place of  western lore. The people were warm and friendly, and treated us like family wherever we went. By the time we returned to Alaska, our bulging waistlines were ample proof of the delightful Russian hospitality that we were treated too!  Ironically, we learned that, when the Russian's want to describe a cold place, they say "it's colder than Alaska".

McLeod wishes to thank all of the Russian people we met for their kindness and generosity.

Our journey truly would not have been possible had they not welcomed us into their homes and shared their lives with us.

Over 1,000 photographs were taken by our group during our two week journey!  We'll be changing these photos frequently to share as many as we can with you.
