| This page is an attempt to put the McLeod tour into geographical perspective. By comparing the actual size of Alaska to the lower 48 states, and by examining Alaska's location on the Pacific Rim, we note that Alaskans share a common climate and lifestyle with the peoples of other Arctic countries. Novosibirsk, Russia, the most westerly destination on McLeod's journey, is actually on the other side of the world from the continental U. S.! | |||||||
